Ellen M. Weintraut is the owner of Northwest Immigration Law, PLLC. She is an attorney licensed by the State of Oregon and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon as well as the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. Ms. Weintraut may practice federal immigration law in any state in the U.S. Ms. Weintraut has over sixteen years of experience working in immigration law.

Ms. Weintraut grew up in Northwest Arkansas and worked with a local poultry company before attending law school. A graduate of Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Ms. Weintraut began her immigration career with the Immigration Counseling Service in Portland, Oregon. She worked as a staff attorney with the non-profit agency for five years before being recruited to coordinate the litigation group at Gonzales, Gonzales & Gonzales also in Portland. Since moving back to Northwest Arkansas she opened Northwest Immigration Law, PLLC. She lives in Fayetteville with her husband and their two sons.

Ms. Weintraut is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has a history of service with both organizations and has served as a mentor to other attorneys for a number of years. She has provided immigration trainings on local and regional levels as well as at national conferences. Ms. Weintraut was twice selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Oregon. She currently serves as the AILA Liaison with the USCIS Field Office in Fort Smith, AR. She speaks Spanish.
